Update to for the latest version completed, have fun.
|
Back from vacation and just updated the talentcalculator. Sorry that it took such a long time, but even I need a pause sometimes.
All old templates have been removed from the database. Everything is now fresh and clean! The level limit has been increased to 70 because the addon isn't far away now.
Have fun.

The talentcalculator has been updated to the latest version, have fun.

Some of you might have noticed that we had a complete server downtime this morning. One of the talentcalculator tables was broken after a server reboot, but luckily it was possible to repair the table and it looks that no data was lost.
We will try to identify the source of the problem and fix it as soon as possible to avoid future problems.

I have just updated the Talentcalculator with some improvements. The tool is now in overall faster and flicker with firefox browsers should be fixed now.
We have as well added shift+leftclick support to unlearn talents for opera users (right-click is not supported by opera).
All background images for the Blizzard style look nicer now too, we have changed the borders around the icons.
A quick note to the charplaner, we will soon add the talents there too and the translation to english is now on top of our list. I Hope we can finish most of it bevor the next weekend and release it.

With the increasing number of comments the usability was not ok anymore, the pages where too long and different languages where mixed.
In order to improve our webservice we decided to split all comments by languages, you no longer see german comments if you use the english interface. The same for other languages.
We have also added pages to comments if there are more then 10 comments.
By the way some of you might have noticed that we have released a new tool the Characterplaner. We have not yet made an offizial news here, because the tool is only avaliable in german at the moment. As soon as we have translated the interface we will as well release an english version and inform you.
If you have any suggestions, just post a comment.

Eyonix has posted some informations about the opcoming priest changes for 1.10 in the official World of Warcraft US Forum :
Quote:...
Greater Heal (and Heal starting from rank2) will receive a reduction to its casting time. Currently the spell is a 4 second cast. However, once patch 1.10 releases, the spell, from start to finish will cast in 3 seconds - (2.5 with talent improvement). This spell, along with the Druid's Healing Touch and the Shaman's Healing Wave will all receive an approximate 10% improvement to mana efficiency.
Holy Fire will no longer be a talent required ability. All priests, upon reaching the appropriate level will receive this spell as a core ability. In addition, this spell's casting time has been reduced from 4 seconds to 3.5. The appropriate talent improvement would bring this spell to a 3 second cast. This spell will also be considered holy damage, meaning, effects which improve holy damage will increase the damage of this spell.
Inner Fire is another core ability we're reworking. With the prevalence of wand-use amongst casters, we're not very pleased with the increase of attack power this spell provides and are looking to change Inner Fire so that it is more in line with the original concept behind the ability, i.e. a defensive/soloing spell.
Power Word: Shield is still undergoing testing. Basically, we're running the numbers of the final spell ranks and will likely make changes to its damage mitigation scaling.
Talents are where we're making the most significant changes, however, until the changes have been finalized there is little I'm going to be able to reveal. What I will state is that we're reorganizing and streamlining all three trees, with a particular emphasis on Holy and Discipline. Each tree will have anywhere from 1 to 4 brand new talents available. The focus of Holy will be in providing throughput improvement, such as offering benefits to healing and spell damage. Discipline will focus on staying-power, such as what you see from abilities that improve mana and mana regeneration. Shadow of course, will focus primarily on damage.
Priest class racial improvements are for the most part, complete yet undergoing testing. Until all of them are ready to be unveiled, I'm going to avoid providing specifics. I will try very hard to push out concrete details late next week, if possible.
A number of minor improvements and tweaks continue to be made as well, such as the increase we're making to Prayer of Fortitude's range and radius, the overall reduction to Smite's mana cost, the addition of group buff versions for Divine Spirit and Shadow Protection, and much more. In addition, I can promise that I'll push for the talents to go live on the talent calculator the moment that they've been finalized, which hopefully won't be long now.

Merry Christmas from the Merciless-Guild to all WoW players and visitors of our site.
Enjoy the holidays, and don't eat too much .
Merry Christmas!

We have added a talentcalcalculator for the Paladin v1.9 settings of the german version only at the moment.
The other languages will follow after the patch is life. (We need the client files for updates)

We have just added a new feature to our page. In cooperation with the BLASC team, we have added a new toplist box.
As you read this you might wonder where this toplist is. Since this is a german only database we don't show the list if you choose an other language then german to view this page.
We might add this feature later for an english database if we find a partner who wants to cooperate with us too.

An Blizzard poster has released some information of the upcoming Paladin changes in the official Forum.
Here is a part of the orignial forumpost:
Quote:...
# The range on 'Judgment' will be increased. In addition, both the cooldown and mana cost will be lowered.
# Both Exorcism and Holy Wrath will be usable on Demon targets in addition to Undead targets.
# The mana cost will be reduced for both the summoned Warhorse and Charger.
# The missile speed of the flying hammer for the spell 'Hammer of Wrath' will be increased.
We're also adding raid versions for five of the Paladin's blessings. These new raid version blessings will last for fifteen minutes, and allow the Paladin the means to buff every player of a given class in the raid by selecting only one. These blessings will be available at your class trainer and the only prerequisite is the final rank (talent point where applicable) of the Blessing.
# Blessing of Sanctuary
# Blessing of Kings
# Blessing of Might
# Blessing of Wisdom
# Blessing of Salvation
We're also adding a new spell 'Righteous Fury' to replace the Seal and Judgment of Fury. This spell, first available at level 16 is a self buff which will last for 30 minutes and substantially increases the threat generated by all Paladin Holy attacks, in turn allowing the player to focus on Seals which provide greater DPS as this buff works in conjunction with all other buff effects.

Since I like numbers and statistics, here is something that I have just looked at and might be interesting.
The number of templates for the individual classes are quite different, the reason for this is basically the population inbalance. So I took the numbers from WoWRankings.com and put them relativ to the numbers of the templates in our database. Here is the result:
Warlock - 2,3
Rogue - 2,0
Warrior - 1,9
Paladin - 1,8
Mage - 1,7
Schaman - 1,6
Priest - 1,4
Druid - 1,3
Hunter - 1,0
The lowest number of templates relativ to the class count had the hunter, so I took all other values also relativ to it. This list now basically means that the Warlock has 2.3 times more different template variations then the hunter.
Lets see how this will change after patch 1.8 and the druid changes.

A Blizzard poster has posted some news about an upcoming Soul Link change in version 1.8.
When patch version 1.8 releases Soul Link will be a spell you cast on your pet which gives an aura to both you and the pet. This aura increases all damage caused by you and your pet by 3% and splits 30% of all damage taken by the caster to the pet. The aura will last as long as the pet is active.
Read all details in the offizial Forum

Together with the big update, we had also updated the graficdesign.

We have just updated our Talentcalculator.
There ist a new Template-View to get an better overview of a selected template. Under this view, you can rate and comment templates.
There is a new list function too to get a better view over all existing templates.
We wish you a lot of fun with the new opportunities.

As you can see, we have added a news page to our talentcalculator and we have as well updated our page to the latest version 1.7.0.
The merciless style now has advanced descriptions for all levels if you move the mouse over the different levels.
This new version of the calculator also has a new templatelink system. The links are now very short compared to the old system. Don't be afraid the old links still work.
New features are coming soon .
